Best tips to organize an open shelf pantry

Hey loves🤍! How exciting it is to be able to transform a space and make it your own. This is exactly what was asked of us for this project and we loved every aspect of it.

Whether you’re living in a small home or not, if you have a large pantry or not, if you are renting or not, if an open shelving pantry is what you have to work with, this post is for you. For this particular project we organized/personalized a small pantry but the same general concepts will apply to larger pantries, using our most recent best friends, the @ballcanning Storage Latch Jars and Nesting Jars.

First things first, ask yourself, what’s that one thing that would make you happy everyday when looking at your pantry. Visualize the look you’re going for and get started. There’s no wrong answer for this one, you know yourself better than anyone else. For this particular project, light tones of green and nature was the esthetic we aimed for. Changing the background on the all white kitchen was kind of a no-brainer for us but we wanted to do it in a way that would allow us to make quick changes when needed.

We used glue-less wallpaper for the win. Yep, you read that right. This is our go to, quickest way, to transform a space without making it permanent. After we picked the right pattern, we purchased a few inches, et voilà, it immediately felt like a new space. The pattern was chosen to marry with the design and look of @ballcanning Storage Latch Jars, and I must say that it immediately felt like a match meant to last.

The personalization part is ready. Let’s now have fun with what we love most, organization. One quick tip when working with a small pantry: be selective in avoiding an unnecessary feel and look of cluttered space. Meaning that your space may only allow for one to two types of pasta instead of five and it’s ok. In no time you’ll get used to it. Keeping more than what your space allows will interfere with your goal to live an organized life.
